What does the Lyra Nd: Yag laser offer?
The indication for therapy with the Lyra Nd:YAG system is to close or shrink visible blood vessels, even those deep under the skin. The LYRA laser has a broad spectrum of action, minimizing the risk of tissue destruction during treatment.
What is the Lyra laser treatment?
The Lyra system is a neodymium-yag (Nd:YAG) laser that emits monochromatic light with a wavelength of 1064 nm. Lyra emits photons with long pulses that reach the deep layers of the skin. As a result of energy absorption by hemoglobin, the vessels coagulate and permanently close. The Lyra laser is equipped with a special cooling system, which improves patient comfort during the procedure. The cooling prevents the possibility of burns at the irradiation site.
For whom is the procedure intended?
The treatment is designed for people who struggle with vascular lesions:
● dilated blood vessels on the face
● dilated blood vessels on the legs
● angiomas
● telangiectasias
Contraindications
● Pregnancy, breastfeeding
● Active cancer (past - after medical consultation).
● Fresh tan at the site of the procedure - at least 4 weeks after the last exposure to the sun or tanning bed
● Viral, bacterial, fungal infections at the treatment site (e.g.: active herpes, warts )
● Photodermatoses
● Autoimmune diseases (e.g., MS, vitiligo, psoriasis, fish scales).
● Epilepsy
● Antibiotics - 2 weeks after the last dose
● Retinoids - 6 months after last dose
● Drugs/dietary supplements containing : field horsetail, St. John's wort, chervil, pansy, calendula, sage, nettle, chamomile - 2 weeks from last dose
● Cosmetics containing high concentrations of vitamins A, E, C and retinol
● Use of self-tanners, bronzers, betacarotene orally
BEFORE TREATMENT

AFTER TREATMENT
After the treatment, redness and swelling may appear at the irradiation site. As a result of the coagulation of hemoglobin, the capillaries become completely clear or darkened, which is a normal skin reaction.
Care recommendations
● wash with a gentle gel
● cream or ointment Alantan Plus / Bepanthen / Dermopanthen.
● gently pat the skin dry, do not rub or otherwise irritate it
● Avoid using products that can irritate the skin. This applies especially to products containing spirits, tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic/glycolic acid, acids, peels, astringents
● Sunbathing is absolutely contraindicated up to 4 weeks after treatment. During this period, use creams with anti-UVA and B-filters with filter 50
● Hot baths, saunas, hot tubs, pool use should be avoided for 14 days after the procedure.
