WHAT DOES PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP) GIVE?
Platelet-rich plasma is used in skin rejuvenation and regeneration treatments.
Plasma contains numerous growth factors that stimulate the skin to produce new collagen and blood vessels, and intensify the formation of new epidermal cells.
The result is skin regeneration, improved elasticity, density and tone, and wrinkles are smoothed.
There is an increase in blood circulation and hydration of the skin, making it visibly younger and glowing.
WHAT IS PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)?
After the painless collection of blood from the patient, the PRP preparation process follows, involving centrifugation of the blood in a special centrifuge using an appropriate treatment algorithm (strength and duration of centrifugation) so as not to damage the platelets or lead to their premature activation. Recent studies show that it is definitely more beneficial to administer platelets in "inactive" form. Only after administration is there a slow activation and secretion of growth factors and the skin has time to fully absorb and utilize them. All the salutary substances are secreted by our own autologous platelets.
Appropriate centrifugation but also concentration of plasma allows us to obtain platelet-rich plasma (PRP), i.e. plasma with increased platelet density many times over. After receiving such plasma, the doctor proceeds to inject the patient depending on the selected treatment area. Observation of the effects is a very individual matter. They should appear about 2 weeks after the procedure and deepen up to 6 weeks.
