WHAT DOES THE PALOMAR EMERGE FRACTIONAL LASER GIVE?
Emerge™ is a fractional laser from the American company PALOMAR designed for resurfacing (skin rejuvenation), removal and reduction of superficial imperfections. Emerge™ is FDA-certified for the reduction of wrinkles around the eyes, known as crow's feet. Palomar Emerge fractional laser treatment causes skin rejuvenation through fractional non-ablative skin resurfacing, removes pigmented lesions, reduces wrinkles, improves skin firmness and lifting, reduces scars and stretch marks. All this with a minimal recovery period. The very next day, areas treated with the Palomar Emerge fractional laser can be successfully masked with foundation or other makeup cosmetics.
WHAT IS THE PALOMAR EMERGE FRACTIONAL LASER?
The Emerge™ fractional laser applies energy in the form of microbeams of light that damage selected areas of the epidermis and dermis in a controlled manner. It is a non-ablative laser, which means that it does not damage the surface of the skin and does not create micro wounds on the surface of the skin. The skin's natural healing process provokes a process in which damaged cells are replaced by new, healthy tissue. The result is healthier and younger skin without the imperfections we wanted to get rid of.

● Scar formation or a strong tendency to hypertrophic scars..
● Medications taken. Patients should stop taking medications that reduce the skin's ability to heal. Isotretinoin should also be discontinued and should not be taken within six to twelve (6-12) months prior to surgery..

BEFORE TREATMENT
The procedure does not require local anesthesia. On special request, there is the possibility of local anesthesia with a cream. Before the procedure, we conduct a cosmetological consultation to exclude any contraindications. If the patient is qualified for the procedure, we take photo documentation and select the appropriate parameters. After thorough cleaning and degreasing of the treatment area, we apply the head to the patient's skin. Once it is activated, microbeams of light are introduced into the skin, penetrating the skin at a level of more than 1.5 mm. The deeper the columns, the greater the amount of new tissue. The coagulated cellular deposits are replaced with regenerated tissue. Most patients experience minimal discomfort during and immediately after the procedure. In some cases, mild painkillers are recommended during and after the procedure.
AFTER TREATMENT
Immediately after the procedure, the skin will be red and may feel warm, along with a slight swelling of the skin. We can cool the skin by applying a gel compress. The redness lasts from a few hours to 2-3 days, depending on the parameters used. The redness can be successfully masked with appropriate makeup the very next day. Small scabs may be visible after the treatment, which will completely peel off after a week maximum two.
After the Emerge™ laser treatment it is recommended to:
● Application of soothing preparations.
● Cleansing the facial skin with gentle preparations.
● Skin should not be irritated manually or with cosmetics after the procedure.
● Skin hygiene should be taken extra care of (change the pillowcase).
● As it heals, it is necessary to protect the skin from damage and exposure to the sun or tanning beds for at least 6 weeks after the procedure. It is recommended to use preparations for sensitive skin with SPF 50 or higher protection and UVA/UVB filters between treatments.
● While the skin is healing, there may be a sensation of itching or dryness of the skin, which will gradually subside.
